There is an in-ground pool that is 8 meters in diameter and is surrounded by a tiled area with seating areas and shady trees nearby. There are stairs to facilitate getting in and out of the pool. The garden has many fruit and nut trees (figs, plums, apples, walnuts, etc.) and is fully enclosed. Le Mascaret is right on the bank of the Dordogne river with the total property being 3.2 acres of which about 1 acre is accessible to guests--the remainder is mostly woods and shrubs. The property is entirely private with the river at one end, vineyards on two sides of the property and one neighboring family directly behind us. You can buy excellent wine produced right next to Le Mascaret from our neighbor. There is no traffic as we are at the end of the lane that leads to the river.
